چکیده
In the operando solar cell using Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite (RPP), we visualize an abnormal heterogeneity ranging from lateral long-range to local sub-grain scale with a unitary 2D/3D hybrid, closely correlating charge-carrier dynamics.

Mechanism of carrier accumulation in perovskite thin-absorber solar cells.
Photovoltaic conversion requires two successive steps: accumulation of a photogenerated charge and charge separation. Determination of how and where charge accumulation is attained and how this accumulation can be identified is mandatory for understanding the performance of a photovoltaic device and for its further optimization. Here we analyse the mechanism of carrier accumulation in lead hali...
متن کاملOrganic Charge Carriers for Perovskite Solar Cells.
The photovoltaic field is currently experiencing the "perovskite revolution". These materials have been known for decades, but only recently have they been applied in solid-state solar cells to obtain outstanding power conversion efficiencies. Given that the variety of perovskites used so far is limited, a lot of attention has been devoted to the development of suitable organic charge-transport...
متن کاملImproved charge carrier lifetime in planar perovskite solar cells by bromine doping
The charge carrier lifetime is an important parameter in solar cells as it defines, together with the mobility, the diffusion length of the charge carriers, thus directly determining the optimal active layer thickness of a device. Herein, we report on charge carrier lifetime values in bromine doped planar methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) solar cells determined by transient photovoltage. The ...
متن کاملEfficient perovskite/fullerene planar heterojunction solar cells with enhanced charge extraction and suppressed charge recombination.
Alcohol soluble titanium chelate TIPD (titanium (diisopropoxide) bis(2,4-pentanedionate)) was used as an electron transporting layer to form an ohmic contact with the negative electrode, aiming to enhance the charge extraction and suppress the charge recombination for high performance CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM-based PHJ perovskite solar cells. The TIPD layer shows excellent suitability to CH3NH3PbI3 pero...
متن کاملUnravelling the mechanism of photoinduced charge transfer processes in lead iodide perovskite solar cells
Lead halide perovskites have recently been used as light absorbers in hybrid organic–inorganic solid-state solar cells, with efficiencies as high as 15% and open-circuit voltages of 1 V. However, a detailed explanation of the mechanisms of operation within this photovoltaic system is still lacking. Here, we investigate the photoinduced charge transfer processes at the surface of the perovskite ...
